As an aspiring pianist from the age of 4, Alison has spent a lifetime preparing herself for a career as a performer. Born in 1978, she has established herself as an experienced and thoroughly professional musician, since first gigging as a teenager in her home city of Brisbane, Australia.
Alison began her musical studies as a very promising classical pianist, which helped her develop the polished technique and musicality which is so evident in her work today. While achieving her Associate Diploma of Music (Pianoforte, A.Mus.A) qualifications when only 15 years old, she continued to follow her interests in more popular styles of music, performing in many amateur music theatre productions, bands and jazz ensembles. She undertook voice training in jazz and popular styles, as well as being an accomplished flautist.
While completing a Bachelor of Business (Public Relations), Alison worked constantly as both a performer and teacher. Her early work consisted of everything from jazz vocal gigs, weddings and classical piano accompaniment, to cabaret festivals and piano bar entertaining.
